What to Expect during the Restoration Process
Call Klein's DKI:
Call to stop any further damage and contact your insurance company as soon as possible.
Meet with Klein's Estimator:
Our estimator will thoroughly assess the damage take measurements and pictures to generate the scope of work.
Adjuster Involvement:
Your insurance company will assign an adjuster to your claim. They will answer any of your questions regarding your policy. They will work with a Klein's estimator on the extent of damages and repairs to your property.
The Beginning:
Most work is done using standardized pricing. It is common to start work before an agreed scope of work with the insurance adjuster. Our reputation of accuracy and quality brings a trust factor with adjusters that helps facilitate successful repair agreements.
Completion:
When the repairs are complete, the property owner will need to sign a certificate of satisfaction/completion. Mortgage companies and some insurance companies require this to document that the project is complete.
What to Expect during the Payment Process
Prepare and Submit Mitigation Bill:
When your home has been declared “dry” by our technician or we have completed a board-up due to a fire or tree damage, a bill will be prepared for you and your insurance company using the predetermined pricing.
Deductible:
Make a note of the deductible on your policy. This amount is your responsibility and will need to be paid directly to Klein's.
Estimate and Approval for Repairs:
An estimate will be provided to you and your insurance company for repairs. If your insurance company generates an estimate we will review it with them to assure all necessary repairs have been included.
Supplement:
Sometimes during the repair process additional items are found that need repair that were not on the original estimate. A supplemental billing is submitted by our estimator at the end of the project.
Payment:
Your insurance company will issue payment according to the agreement. The names on the checks may include: Klein's name and your name, your name only, or issued directly to Klein's. If your mortgage company is listed Klein's is experienced in the necessary documentation required to secure a signature from them.
